Non-human characters, too! Treants are the best.
And another one. I just love girls in cloaks.
More left-handed vector art. This time featuring a random character design.
Surprisingly had an easy time making this.
I’m designing a game through Roll20. It’s kinda like Dungeons & Dragons meets Mario Party. This is one of a few template character cards that will be used for the players’ characters.
Messing around with making vector art with just my left hand.
These are little material icons (stone, metal, wheat) I was going to use for something, but ended up not being able to utilize these graphics.
I’m gaining followers almost just as fast as I’m losing them.
Sprite art from “Herogest”!
Saying I had a few gothic-ish game projects inbetween the ones I finish would be an understatement. I released a video of this around the time Bindign of Isaac was announced as some sort of weird “I’m not gonna make this game now, but for future reference, just wanna make clear I wasn’t copying”, even if that shouldn’t be necessary. They turned out with very different goals. Herogest was meant to generate new gameplay and, to an extent, mechanics. Not be about finding loot and trinkets at all.
Basically it would generate Zelda-like dungeons with one item, and the dungeon would add traps based on the item. Many more ideas and sophistication went into even the prototype engine, but it was during the beginning of Iconoclasts dev and I knew I needed 100% of my time on it. Definitely coming back to this one. <3

By the way, having abandoned projects just means you’re a game dev. People used to love to say I never finished anything. They’re just big projects. ;)
“having abandoned projects just means you’re a game dev”…
I feel better about myself.
Pixel Portrait Diji
Almost lost this to a terrible MSPaint mishap that botched the quality. I had to spend an extra hour restoring the quality and colors, and redrawing certain sections.
So glad I could finish it, because I’m super proud of the outcome. :)
work in progress~
Hooray! I finished writing all the Skills/Spells/Abilities for each of the 24 Fight Classes for Heartblade - fit for my custom tabletop campaign(s)!
Each class has at least 10 skills. No class has a skill that another class has (some may be similar, but none exactly the same).
And I counted 258 unique skills. And there’s still Social Class skills, special skills, multiclass skills(?), and reserve spells to come up with.
Also, with this, I’m going to update that Interactive Class List. A few small changes have been made since I made that.
Lately, thanks to the discovery of a neat little website called Roll20.net, I recently started writing my own from-scratch tabletop RPG campaign, based off of the concepts of Heartblade.
I have a heckuva lot to prepare for, like assigning at least 10 skills/spells to each of the 24 Fight Classes, and various Social Classes. Yeesh. I’ve only filled skills out for the Knight and Golemancer, so far. It’s tedious, but really fun. I like working on specific details, and it’s helping me to further develop these concepts.
I still have yet to even touch on the story…
